What shapes anxiety early in life? Anxiety is one of the most common mental health challenges among children and young people - and can have far-reaching consequences for well-being, relationships and everyday life. But what is anxiety really, and why does it occur? In the lecture, psychologist and associate professor of clinical child psychology gives Johanne Jeppesen Lomholtfrom Aarhus University a research-based introduction to anxiety in children and adolescents Based on both clinical practice and current research, she highlights how anxiety is expressed, which risk factors play a role - including the importance of the family - and how anxiety can develop over time. You will gain insight into different types of anxiety, as well as knowledge about how early interventions and prevention are researched today. The event is part of Folkeuniversitetet's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds. Find the full program Here.
