What to know

Our joint Christmas concert is called "udsdjur" (springing from the time when the darkness of winter meets the light of Christmas). With an intimate concert setup, our goal is to create a space for reflection, presence and community - a place where the light can be allowed to fade out, even when life hurts. The songs revolve around heartbreak, loneliness and hope. We find that people find new meaning in the classic English Christmas carols when they hear them in their native language. Among the repertoire is, for example, our Danish interpretation of the Christmas classic "O Holy Night", ("En Stjernenat"), and maia maia's Danish version of Last Christmas, ("Sidste Jul"). ABOUT US:maia maia is known for her Danish versions of English pop songs and has had great success with her Danish cover of Last Christmas, which last year achieved over 1 million plays.
