When mental illness strikes a family, it affects everyone - not just the one who is ill Everyday life can be difficult, unpredictable and filled with worries and conflicting emotions, and some children risk being overshadowed by the difficult. On this theme evening we focus on family life with mental illness - and on how as a family you can see and support all children. We also examine the concept of the shadow child: the child who often adapts, takes into account, or is overlooked in the attempt to keep the family together. Meet Sine and Mathilde, mother and daughter, who talk about their experiences when Mathilde's older sister was ill with schizophrenia. What can you do as a parent to be there for both the sick and the healthy children? And how do you support each other - within and outside the family?
