The lab at Egegården

What to know

The LAB is a small orchestra born from a lifelong love for what is called Smooth Jazz. The genre is light Jazz, with clear, simple and catchy melodic themes that touch on what we know from a lead vocal on a pop song. Some might call it "Elevator Music" while others call it pure cream for the ear canals. The LAB hopes to land on the latter end. All 4 musicians have roots in North Zealand, and have participated in several professional contexts such as: Beverly Hills Orchestra, Back to Back, Blast, Danser med Drenge, Dodo and the Dodos, Mænd i Blåt to name just a few. But now they have started this workshop project to try their hand at - and "further educate" themselves in something that is a little outside their comfort zone as musicians. On September 24th, this little quartet can be heard at Egegården in Espergærde. If you have been to "fusion" at evening school, you might even be able to get your dancing shoes polished this evening.
