Felt a vest in Danish wool

What to know

Felt a vest from Danish wool: Over two days (31/19+01/10) you will make your own felt vest. During the course you will gain an understanding of wool, wet felting, how to make a felting mat (template) and help design your vest. Should it have a hood, be wrap-around, have ruffle details or be checked? You start by making a catfish, then you have to card and lay out the wool and finally you have to felt it. All materials are included in the price. The course runs from 10 am-4 pm, please bring a packed lunch and we will have a joint lunch break. At Hedestrik we would like to focus on all the wool that lies unused as a residual product by Nordic sheep farmers. We will talk about sheep, wool quality and how Danish wool can help solve the crisis facing the textile industry. We choose local wool, dogma and free knitting as a response to the commercial yarn and knitting world. It is important for us to spread knowledge about wool crafts and sustainability through our workshops. We can't wait!
