About this event

What to know

One in three of us is a relative of someone who suffers from mental illness. It is very mentally stressful to be close to someone whose life is marked by mental illness. The worrying and exhausting thoughts are in a queue, and confusion easily becomes the prevailing force. Many also experience a painful loneliness, both when they as relatives try to do something or struggle with feelings of powerlessness. The lecture will provide supportive inspiration and thinking tools for the demanding task of caring for a relative. Among other things, these questions arise: How can I seek support, set boundaries and take care of myself to avoid burnout? As a relative, where can I find advice and support for my own challenging everyday life?Speaker: Jørn Henrik Olsen, cand.theol., PhD, author Buy/order ticket
