Come and hear Kurt Jensen's stories from the Iberian Peninsula and the Douro Valley - in Spain and Portugal. The Douro Valley and many other delights are on the program when Kurt Jensen presents the top of the Iberian Peninsula in Spain and Portugal. Wine is on the program. Wine cellars are visited and some of the largest producers are visited. On the Spanish plateau, the pilgrims' paths are crossed in Burgos and Leon, an area with impressive cathedrals. Spain's oldest natural park, Picos de Europa, is visited, a scenic area with a rich wildlife, clear springs and mountain peaks. The tour continues to Haro in Rioja and San Sebastian in the Bay of Biscay, where pintxos are served in the narrow alleys of the old town. You will meet Gaudi, Eiffel, Hercules, Don Quixote, the Spanish Joan of Arc and other celebrities and heroes and not least be told about the history of the Basque Country. The journey ends on the Douro River towards Porto, where up to 40 grape varieties grow on the slopes.
