Workshop in "Visible mending"

What to know

Visible mending - visible clothing repair - is a creative and sustainable approach to repairing small holes and thereby extending the life of your wardrobe favorites. In this workshop we will work with, among other things, basic embroidery stitches that can cover stains, make small repairs and create fine embellishments. In addition, a few darning techniques for knitwear will be presented, where we repair with new material. Nina also discusses the Japanese techniques Sashiko and Boro, and how to stop damage, reinforce where necessary and think holistically. You don't need to have experience with sewing or embroidery. We work with techniques of varying difficulty, and there is room to experiment and develop your own visual expression. Please bring a piece of clothing that you would like to repair (or decorate).
