On the occasion of the special exhibition LÆ - Træernes Thy, we go on a forest trip and experience up close the trees and forests we have today. Hanstholm is one of the country's most windy cities, but fortunately the city is shielded to the west and north by a belt of forest, Hanstholm Byplantage. As the name suggests, the forest did not come about by itself, but required targeted and intensive effort. From 1950, an extensive forest planting project was launched, which was to provide the city withshelter, erase the traces of the German occupation and secure jobs for the ailing city.
