Rising Stars In the Rising Stars series, the stars of the future present themselves with personally and distinctively curated programs. The musicians, selected by leading European concert halls, also make a stop in the Kleine Zaal during their star tour of the most prestigious stages. Petar Pejčić Petar Pejčić grew up in a musical family and took up the cello at the age of four in his hometown of Belgrade. Over the past seasons, he has made a major impression on major stages, and with his passion to make classical music accessible to a broad audience, he dedicates himself to volunteer projects and interdisciplinary collaborations. As a Rising Star, Pejčić pays homage to the legendary cellist Mstislav Rostropovich: For Slava! Every piece on this program is directly connected to Rostropovich, the visionary Russian, without whom the history of the cello would have looked very different.
