With Egeskov Castle as the historical focal point, a great story unfolds about a country in change - the time after 1864, when Denmark reinvented itself and laid the foundation for modern society. We get up close to life in the castle: the nobility in the fine rooms, the servants in the cellar and the common people in the fields.
