Jamaican roots reggae with deep riddims, strong heritage and visionary lyrics Jamaican singer Azzizzi Romeo lifts the legacy of roots reggae into the present when he visits ALICE in October and plays a live dub set with Morten Mc Coy and Steve Borth II from the Copenhagen all-star ensemble Guiding Star Orchestra. With his debut album "Signs Of The Time", Azzizzi Romeo combines the classic 70 s roots sound with modern productions, spiritual heaviness and an irrepressible message of peace, community and hope in a turbulent time. Azzizzi Romeo grew up in Linstead, Jamaica, the son of roots reggae legend Max Romeo. Music has been a part of his life since childhood, and at the age of eight he was on stage as the lead singer of the duo Rominal with his brother He later toured the world with his father before finding his own artistic voice.
