Omrum (DK/No) Omrum is a collective project - a musical free space where four strong voices meet on equal terms. The music moves between composition and free improvisation, with an open, spherical atmosphere that is broken by explosive bursts of equilibrium. The quartet consists of Erik Kimestad (trumpet), Mads Hyhne (trombone), Richard Andersson (double bass) and Jakob Høyer (drums) - four prominent musicians from the Scandinavian jazz scene. There is no front figure in Omrum, no hierarchy - only freedom to contribute and express oneself without any fixed framework. Omrum recorded their debut album on Møn in January and is currently selecting the tracks to be mixed and shaped for the final release on **Hobby Horse Records** in the fall. The album also marks Erik Kimestad's first release with his own compositions at the center.
