What to know

Look forward to an afternoon of literature and guided reading together, when one of the library's reading guides reads aloud and guides the conversation. It requires no preparation, and everyone can join in. Do you also love a good story, and do you think it would be exciting to share a reading experience with others? In the fall of 2026, you can have very special literary experiences together with others when we invite you to guided shared reading at the libraries in Nakskov and Maribo. Come and join us as one of our reading guides reads a short story, an excerpt or a poem aloud. You will meet Nicoline, Sascha or Mathilde from the library, who will read aloud and start an open conversation about the text. Guided shared reading is a reading aloud with breaks, where there is room to talk about everything that comes to mind. We talk about what touches and surprises us, what we recognize or do not understand. There are no 'right' or 'wrong' answers - there is room for everything when we talk about what literature triggers in us.
