The Commonwealth is seriously up for discussion. The Greenlandic independence movement and the historical investigations of the relationship between Denmark and Greenland - which have led to official apologies, among other things - have eroded the relationship between the two countries. At the same time, the American president has repeatedly tried to drive a wedge between Denmark and Greenland. The Faroe Islands also want a revision of the Commonwealth so that more self-determination is placed in the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
