Would you like to try your hand at writing stories set in the past? About the workshop: Writing historical fiction In this workshop we work with historical fiction - that is, stories where real events and places are mixed with invented people and actions. We talk about how you can use research to make your story believable, but also how to avoid drowning in detail. You will get tips on how to build a story so that the reader feels like they are back in time - for example, in Copenhagen 100 years ago. We also look at the difference between writing about real people (exofiction) and inventing your own characters in a historical setting. Along the way, we talk about the challenges and pitfalls that can arise when writing about something that really happened - and how you can find exactly the kind of stories you are passionate about telling.
