In the new lecture series 'Know your jazz!' librarian and cand. mag. in music Helle Tjørnov opens up about the essence of jazz and its music and history. This fall's event is about the concept of "jazz standards" - the huge back catalog of songs and melodies that jazz music is often based on. The interpretations, the diversity of jazz, and the library's growing collection of jazz on vinyl will be put into play this afternoon.
