On Sunday, November 1st, you can meet Anna Fro Vodder, Eske Kath, Kathrine Ærtebjerg and Lise Blomberg from the current exhibition at Gammelgaard. The sun is essential for life on Earth and has therefore been worshipped throughout time as the predominant symbol of life, energy and strength. But how do we view the sun as a symbol and image in a time when global warming and its consequences, such as the sixth mass extinction of species, are a reality? What relationship can we have with the sun today, when it has also become a threat to our existence? These are some of the questions we address when we meet the artists Anna Fro Vodder, Eske Kath, Kathrine Ærtebjerg and Lise Blomberg in their joint exhibition. Here the conversation will also touch on their inspiration from the atmosphere and text of the beautiful song written by Harald Bergstedt with music by Carl Nielsen.
