When Benjamin Koppel and Søren Sko meet in Sko on Cole, it is with a shared love for one of the greatest singers in jazz history, Nat King Cole. With great respect for the originals - and a personal musical expression - they give new life to a number of the immortal classics from Cole's repertoire. Saxophonist Benjamin Koppel is one of Danish jazz's most prominent figures and has distinguished himself as a versatile musician, composer and orchestra leader throughout an international career. Søren Sko is one of Denmark's most distinctive singers with a warm, soul-filled voice that adds both presence and personality to the songs. Many know him from the successful duo Sko/Torp, which has been a permanent part of Danish music life since its debut in 1989.
