With great storytelling power and extensive research, he writes novels where historical events are intertwined with human destinies, relationships and moral dilemmas. His books often revolve around people who find themselves in the midst of crucial historical periods, where major social changes have consequences for individual lives. With a sure eye for both detail and the broad outlines, Mich Vraa makes the story present and alive. In her latest novel "I Am Not Catherine", Mich Vraa looks to the world of Ernest Hemingway and tells the story of Agnes von Kurowsky, the nurse who inspired the character Catherine Barkley in "A Farewell to Arms".
