Yoga made simple - a lecture for beginners and the curious

In this lecture you are invited into the world of yoga in a simple and accessible way. Yoga is much more than stretches and postures - but what are we really talking about when we say yoga? In this lecture you will receive a simple and down-to-earth introduction to yoga, with no prior knowledge required. We look at some of the most common notions about yoga and investigate what really lies behind concepts like namaste and savasana - and whether they make sense in yoga teaching here in Denmark. You will also gain insight into why yoga originated, what its original purpose was - and how we have adapted it here in the West. In addition, we delve into selected parts of yoga philosophy, explained in simple language so that everyone can join in. The lecture is for those of you who are curious about yoga and want to understand it from scratch - without having to know anything beforehand. Along the way there will be a few, simple physical breaks where you can participate to the extent you wish.
