Workshop in reading and oral communication

What to know

Would you like to become more comfortable reading aloud, giving a speech or presenting a text in front of others? Then this workshop is for you. Together with librarian Merete Stockfleth and rhetorician Varinka Kierulff Boseman, we work on how you can use your voice and body to convey a text with calm and presence. Through a series of practical exercises, you will have the opportunity to work on text selection, breathing, posture, pronunciation and voice use. There will also be time for breaks and shared reflection along the way. Many people find that reading a text aloud can be challenging, even if it seems simple when you read it to yourself. Perhaps your voice becomes uncertain, your words stumble, or you feel difficult to be heard. Maybe it's the very thought of speaking in front of an audience that seems overwhelming. Regardless of your starting point, you are welcome.
