Egede's theological anthropology in Greenland and Denmark, 1721-1741. After 15 years, Hans Egede returned home from Greenland in 1736, where he had founded the first Christian colony in over 400 years. From here he had tried to missionary among the Greenlandic people present. However, without much success, so the work continued from Denmark, including two major publications about the people, their relationships, and his own experiences in Greenland. In the lecture we will read excerpts from Hans Egede's "public" and "private" texts and compare their portrayals of the people in Greenland.
