It's hard to put Manu Louis in a box The Belgian-born and Berlin-based musician moves freely between electronic music, jazz, punk, chanson and avant-garde, creating his very own musical mix. Manu Louis studied composition with the legendary composer Frédéric Rzewski and has played more than 500 electronic solo concerts in Europe and Asia in recent years. At the concert, he performs with an arsenal of electronic instruments, guitar and video projections, while the music changes direction from experimental pop to improvised disco. His music is based on surprising encounters between genres and references. Old hits, new beat, dissident French chanson, art-pop and hard bop are mixed and placed in new contexts.
