The Port of Aarhus is Denmark's largest commercial port and a piece of national critical infrastructure At the port’s container terminal—which has repeatedly been ranked among the most efficient in Europe and the world—more than 70% of all containers to and from Denmark are handled. Solid and liquid cargo are handled at several different terminals:The bulk terminal handles, among other things, grain, animal feed, fertilizer, wood pellets, salt, and crushed stone, while the oil terminal handles both mineral and vegetable oil products through advanced piping systems. Adjacent to the oil terminal is the Omniterminal, where construction of a 430-meter-long pier is in full swing.
