Everyone in the town loves the lion when he sits there so nicely in his cage - but when one day he gets out to look around among 'all his friends', everything looks completely different... The Happy Lion is a play about friendship and about the wonder of having to go out into the world alone for the first time - the great upheaval when you experience that everything outside is different from at home. The performance awakens, amazes and surprises, but at the same time holds the children safely by the hand. The Glade Løve was created by Teater Håndholdt in collaboration with international Passepartout Theatre Production based on the story of the same name from 1954.
