Experience the old SAXBO workshop in Herlev

On Sunday, October 25th, you can experience the old SAXBO building, which over a period of 30 years became one of Denmark's most innovative ceramic workshops. Today, the SAXBO building in Herlev forms the framework for the Herlev School of Art, but Herlev Municipality also exhibits a small but exquisite collection with some of the countless ceramic masterpieces that were created during the period 1929-1969, when SAXBO existed. This afternoon we invite you inside for a special tour of the old workshop. Come and hear more about the visionary and enterprising businesswoman, Nathalie Krebs, who founded SAXBO, and about her passion for ceramics and not least glaze. Historian and former director of the local regional museum Hannes Minde, Jette Hoffmeyer, will give an introduction to the history of SAXBO at 12 noon and 1 pm. NB.
