What to know

For many years I have seen myself as a weak woman. But today I know how strong I am. You have survived 15 years of abuse, countless overdoses, being in biker circles and violent relationships. Today I live without drugs and know that my abuse was largely about untreated ADHD and trauma I had never gotten help for. What am I talking about? I have always had low self-esteem and a difficult childhood. My father was an addict, and although we didn't have close contact, I know that addiction can be hereditary.
