It all started at the music school's spring concert in 1972. On stage stood a group of 11-12 year old boys, each with a Spanish guitar in hand. Not all the names are remembered today - but one of them was Alex Nyborg Madsen And there, in the middle of his very manageable solo in the song Tom Dooley, he felt it: Standing on a stage felt just right. Since then, Alex has performed on almost every stage in Denmark - and with many different bands. His musical curiosity has always pointed in several directions:From heavy metal with Witch Cross, to high-pitched rock with Harlot, to catchy melodies with Savage Affair. He has jammed with Led Zeppelin Jam and created a Californian 70 s vibe and Americana with Sing Sing Sing. Now the ring ends with the new band: A Circle Of Friends. Call it Americana, roots, alt-folk or alt-country - the sound is predominantly acoustic, hand-played and centered around good singing.
