Mandø oysters (4 - 5 km)

This version of our oyster tour can vary in length to the oyster beds, but is somewhere between 4 km and 5 km. This tour is suitable for people from the age of 8. We meet at the Wadden Sea Center for an introduction You will then drive in your own cars to Mandø, where we collect oysters. The trip is over Låningsvejen - a road that is flooded at high tide. From the seawall we walk across the dry seabed to the oysters where you can see, taste and collect oysters Along the way, we'll also take in the amazing bird and animal life and the unique landscape, which is now a national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour will be done in waders as we will have to go through a short water channel with water up to about our thighs. You should be prepared that we may go through passages with a lot of mud, and the tour therefore requires a generally good level of fitness. Waders are lent by the Wadden Sea Center and are included in the price.
