What to know

Many of the most important sites of early Christianity are located in present-day Turkey. Join us for an exciting afternoon lecture, where we visit historical sites such as Hagia Sophia in Istanbul and other central locations from the early history of Christianity through pictures and stories. We will also meet the ancient cultures of Anatolia, hear about King Midas and the Gordian Knot and about the Lydians, who invented the world's first coins. At the same time, we gain an insight into modern-day Turkey with its hospitable population and beautiful landscapes, including the fabulous Cappadocia. A picture-rich lecture for anyone interested in history, culture and Christianity. The event is free. Everyone is welcome.
