Painting workshop Saturday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Come to a painting workshop with Erik Peitersen, who is a trained sign painter, self-taught artist, lecturer and set designer on a number of Danish TV series. He has also appeared in several DR programs. At the workshop he introduces participants to classic painting techniques, pigments, dry colours and traditional binders. The day revolves around understanding materials, craftsmanship and decorative expression with the opportunity to work with, among other things, marbling, floral motifs, monochrome colors, structure and glaze. Participants work with their own painting subjects and gain insight into priming, chalking/gesso, casein, egg-oil tempera and beer glaze. Along the way, experiences are shared about the difference between pigments and finished products, as well as the special qualities that the techniques contain.
