Come inside DR Byen and experience Denmark's national public service media company on an exciting behind-the-scenes tour. We are invited inside the impressive media house in Ørestaden, where we will hear the story of DR's development over 100 years. The state radio station was founded in 1925 and broadcast radio throughout the country from Rosenørns Allé in Copenhagen. Later, the name was changed to Danmarks Radio, the television medium was added, and in 2006-07 the first employees moved into DR Byen. Today, DR is Denmark's largest cultural and media institution and provides news, culture, entertainment and information via TV, radio, dr.dk and digital platforms. On the tour we go behind the facade in the heart of DR Byen and gain insight into the dynamic workplace where editorial departments, studios and productions work closely together.
