A conversation between our mediator and Kim Fupz Aakeson about her new book The Shadow in Front of Me In The Shadow Before Me we meet a man who is released after many years in prison. All the way to the End of the World He has done something that is perhaps unforgivable, and through the book's three tracks we follow him both before, during and after his prison sentence. Kim Fupz Aakeson has written a strong and eye-opening novel that reflects on topics such as guilt, shame, forgiveness, grief, faith and social legacy. It is a book that asks a lot of questions that cannot be answered unambiguously, and that we will explore during the evening. We will also talk about the creation of the book, and the research in the form of interviews with inmates and Kim's own pilgrimage.
