Theme reading group: From book to film

What to know

In the themed reading circle from "Book to film", we read together three books, all of which have been or will be adapted into films soon. Come and join us for a cozy themed reading circle over three times In this reading group, we look at some of the most popular books that have been adapted into films and whose films are coming out in that month. We delve into the themes of the simple books and why these books are chosen for film adaptations. We question what the good film adaptation would do and what it absolutely would not do. On Wednesday, September 23, we will read "Practical Magic" by Alice Hoffmann. On Wednesday, October 21st, we will read "Sense and Sensibility" by Jane Austen. On Wednesday, November 18th, we will read "The Hunger Games - Mockingjay - Part 2" by Suzanne Collins. There are no special requirements to participate in the themed reading circle - just a desire to talk about literature with others. There will be a moderator at the end of the table who will help facilitate the good conversation.
