Roald Als skewers Danish history: a lecture on political satire

Roald Als is one of Denmark's most prominent newspaper cartoonists. For almost 50 years, he has commented on and skewered both Danish politics and the Danes with his iconic drawings. On the occasion of his new book "Roald's Danish History - 1980-2026 from Anker to Mette" you can experience his lecture about the work of interpreting political Denmark. Roald follows the chronology from Anker onwards and will visit both large and small events, scandals, scandals and not least prime ministers. We will see some of his great classic interpretations of Anker, Helten fra Borgbjergvej, Nyrup uld i mund, caveman-Fogh, the little swindler Løkke, Gucci-Helle, and the blue, purple and red Mette. Roald Als is still a newspaper cartoonist at Politiken, where he has been since 1994. He has previously drawn in Weekendavisen and has published a number of books.
