Experience the Icelandic composer, pianist and vocalist Sigurdís Tryggvadóttir present her debut album 'Bergmál fjallanna' (Echo of the Mountains). SIGURDÍS. After several years in Denmark, Sigurdís has taken a new look at his family Icelandic roots and explores through music how memories,stories and voices can return in new forms. Based on jazz, classical piano and Icelandic folk music, Sigurdíscreated a thoughtful and empathetic sound universe that unites owncompositions of poems and songs by her grandfather's brother, Jónas Tryggvason. Poetic sound universe The music originates from their shared homeland in northwestern Iceland.and is characterized by the magnificent nature and changing moods of the landscape. Together with double bass player Mariusz Prasniewski and drummer Péter Horváth's music unfolds in a field of tension between composition andimprovisation.
