What to know

The anxiety was placed in me from childhood and has followed me ever since. I found out that drugs could reduce the anxiety. I also found out that if I stopped taking the drugs, the anxiety got even worse. That's why I've been trapped in an addiction; I've simply been afraid of the consequences of stopping. What am I talking about? Cocaine started out as a party drug for me, but it quickly became a regular part of my weekends. I start spending on food and lying to my boyfriend, and I can see that things are going wrong. I get into treatment, and it's actually going really well - until the day I see one of my friends injecting his drugs with a syringe. At first I get angry and scared, but it doesn't take more than a week before I find myself with a needle in my arm. Here begins a life I never thought would surpass me - it's all about the next fix: How do I get the money for it? Where and when can I take it?
