What to know

I have spent 18 years in prison, lived with a drug addiction for 24 years, been clean for 20 years and been part of the criminal environment for 35. I have lived in a vicious spiral of addiction and choices that constantly led me further away from myself. What do I tell you? Sorrow? My upbringing was very turbulent; I was placed in eight different places and always felt out of place.
