Writing workshop: Break the boundaries with erasure poetry

Help break the framework and positions of power in the written language, with author Deniz Kiy About the workshop The writing workshop will be about (erasure) as a literary and state power grab. With theoretical inspiration in Solmaz Sharif's essay "Erasure: The Near Transitive Properties of the Political and Poetical", we will examine textual material for subject positions - that is, what frames and places we as readers are placed in. The question becomes: Is Is it possible to break the framework that positions of power frame us in? Can black beams, the palimpsest save us from violence? What ghosts remain? Everyone is welcome, regardless of writing experience. Please note: The workshop will be based on English-language texts. About the trainer Award-winning author, teacher and lecturer, born in 1994 and educated at the Writers' School.
