Singer, songwriter and producer Alejandro Salazar was born in Peru but raised between Queens, New York and Massachusetts. He had already established a long career in the alternative R&B and hip-hop scene under the stage name A. CHAL when he decided to reconnect with his roots, his Peruvian identity, spirituality and the folk music traditions thatthat have shaped his origins.
