These two questions might sound like the stuff of science fiction, but they are at the heart of some of the most groundbreaking research fields in physics of our time. We are going deep into the microscopic world and far into space in the company of two internationally recognized researchers, quantum physicist KLAUS MØLMER and exoplanet researcher UFFE GRÅE JØRGENSEN. It will be about the enigmatic quantum mechanics, a theory that Niels Bohr described as shocking, but which radically changed the worldview of physics and today forms the basis for the development of future quantum computers. And about how astrophysicists examine the atmosphere around distant exoplanets in search of traces of life many light-years from Earth.
