Evening college: Lecture by Ove Korsgaard: The truth lives in the struggle

We humans do not have direct access to the truth, and no one can claim to possess the absolute truth. But even though the truth cannot be made human property, it is crucial to bring it to light, it requires dialogue and struggle, and Grundtvig's concept of struggle and the concept of truth constitute two sides of the same coin. Grundtvig often uses the sports competition as an image of the effort to bring out the truth, because it is through resistance and this testing of strength with each other, also in sports associations, that we can learn more about ourselves and the world. Ove Korsgaard is a doctor of education, author and professor emeritus of pedagogy at Aarhus University.
