Longing for connection Jennifer Walshe and Philip Venables join forces in The Alonetimes , a performance that explores the longing for connection. In a world where you are always reachable, you still sometimes miss each other. This performance is a mix of sharp humor and emotion, showing how people interact with one another in this complex digital age. Music theatre with depth The Alonetimes is a music theatre piece that goes beyond just a performance. Walshe and Venables collaborated on the libretto, the music, and the direction. Six talented artists, including Dutch violinist Diamanda La Berge Dramm, take you through a landscape of old loves, difficult conversations, digital traces, and memories you would rather forget. The music ranges from folk dance to electronic beats and techno, giving the story extra depth.
