Curious about what knitters could do 150 years ago? Come to a knitting workshop in Hillerød Power Plantand try knitting 'historically'. Learn to make a motif from one of the museum's small textile treasures: a red, knitted nightgown from the 19th century, adorned with a beautiful eight-pointed star motif. Laila Glienke, textile broker and knitting designer, has created a modern pattern inspired by the historical star motif and you can choose to knit either a fingerless mitten or a hat - we supply the yarn, which is included in the price. Laila Glienke guides participants safely through the pattern - which is for both beginners and experienced knitters. Kirsten Egholk, head of the department for Nyere Tid, talks about the museum's collection of historical knitwear. Take a closer look at the nightgown - and many more beautiful museum objects in the exhibition at Elværket, which is also included in the price.
