What to know

Come and take part in the city's local democratic initiatives: Everyday politics at Silkeborg Library Today's theme is the work of the Day Care and Family Committee. Everyday Politics is a forum where citizens and local politicians meet and talk about the topics from the upcoming committee agenda that the participants find most relevant. The goal is to create a space for good dialogue, closeness and understanding in local democracy. The discussions are based on the committees' agendas. We will hold Everyday Politics 10 times in 2026 - once for each committee. We alternate between morning and afternoon meetings, and we typically meet on Fridays or Mondays. At least two politicians from the respective committee will attend each meeting. There will be coffee/tea and a cake/croissant for the first 30 participants.
