Come to a poetic and warm concert in the cozy setting of Traktørstedet Singer Anna Kruse has set the powerful, existential and life-affirming poems of the Swedish poet Edith Södergran to music, which she interprets together with Nicholas Kingo on piano, saw and accordion. Jeppe Holst plays all the stringed instruments that can be dusted off. In the music, calm and beautiful passages flow together with devilish ferocity and playfulness. The songs have a clear Scandinavian tone, which we in Denmark recognize from the Swedish jazz song tradition with, for example, Monica Zetterlund and Cornelis Vreeswijk. Pure balm for anyone with a love for the singing melodies of the Swedish language. Between the songs, Anna Kruse talks about Södergran's short life and work.
