What to know

I like to tell stories, it makes me reflect on things and it puts my life in perspective. I also think you could call it public education - especially when I'm with young people. I want to use my dark experiences in life for something positive. What am I talking about? I had fire in my ass as a kid and was sent out to sail the oceans. My time as a young sailor took me out into deep water - both literally and mentally It was at sea that I tried heroin for the first time at the age of 16. It was the beginning of more than 20 years of abuse on the streets - first in Aarhus and later in Copenhagen. When you are introduced to such a violent substance so early in life, a lot of youth and innocence are taken away - it is replaced by drugs and an extremely harsh environment. I spent most of my time on the streets: hanging out, getting drugs and finding money for them. Crime became a natural companion, because money had to be made - lots of money.
