Based on his own family history, Erkan Özden takes the audience on a journey from humble beginnings in Turkey to a new life in Denmark. Through stories about his grandfather, his father and himself, he paints a vivid picture of the opportunities, hopes and challenges that came with the arrival of guest workers to Denmark in the 1970 s. It is the story of social mobility, identity and the Danish dream. About a family that moved from small farmers to white-collar workers and academics in one generation.
