We will repeat this unique opportunity in 2026. Behind the castle church at Sønderborg Castle lies a princely burial chapel, where 46 dukes, duchesses, princes and princesses are buried in five rooms. The chapel is closed to the public on a daily basis, and is only open for these guided tours. You'll hear a story about some of the interesting people who have been buried in the chapel, and you'll learn about the decoration and inscriptions on various coffins. The tours are led by the head of the History unit at Museum Sønderjylland, Dr. phil.
